THE VISION

ETHOS

We believe that every child has the right to dream big and be supported into a successful transition from childhood to adulthood regardless of their social - economic background, social disadvantages or circumstances. Young people are most likely reach their full potential when treated with dignity & respect in a home enviroment with support and emotional warmth.

MISSION

To provide high quality supported accommodation and bespoke care plans for young adults who are Leaving Care including Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC). Empowering our young people to achieve full independence and make a positive contribution to society as grounded adults. Our mission is to fight against statistics that show young care leavers are higher risk of social exclusion than their peers who have not been in care. Our mission is to also counteract statistics that show young care leavers are at risk of low educational attainment, unemployment, poverty, mental health problems, social isolation, homelessness and involvement in crime than their non care leaving counterparts.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • ·To provide young people with accommodation that is stable and appropriate to their needs whilst encouraging personal choice and creating “a sense of home.”

  • To ensure our service is delivered within an equality framework and that the diversity of our young people is respected and their right to make informed choices.

  • To provide a structured, stimulating, caring and safe environment that is free from prejudice and discriminatory behaviour.

  • Offer creative options for young people to overcome depression, anxiety or past traumas through the introduction of dance, music and art therapy

  • To create an environment which offer young people the opportunity to be listened to, express their wishes, needs and feelings.

  • Liaise with external agencies to support the work carried out with young people such as drug and alcohol services, advocacy services and CAMHs services.

  • To encourage young people to develop their individual identity and a positive self-image through treating them with dignity and respect and reinforcing positive behaviour.

  • To respect young people’s privacy and confidentiality ensuring all young people feel safe, secure and valued.

  • Deliver and maintain an outstanding service that will improve and sustain the overall quality of life and enhance and promote the pathway towards independence for our young people.
